Moses Maimonides

Moses Maimonides was the greatest Jewish philosopher of his day. In fact, he can be considered one of the few outstanding scholar-philosophers of all times. He was born March 30, 1135, in Córdoba, Spain, and named Moses Ben Maimon Ben Joseph (Maimonides in Greek). In some parts of the world he is known simply as RAMBAM. He died December 13, 1204, in Cairo, Egypt. One biography stated that in early life he showed little interest in scholarship.
