To the Editor:

Dr. Lutz objects to subtracting the incidence of tumors in the control group from that in the experimental group. It was not done to "avoid" the lack of a zero on the abscissa, but because tumors in the control group obviously had nothing to do with those produced by the experimental compound, as I so stated in the text.
